giftrans software package provides Convert any GIF file into a GIF89a, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install giftrans
giftrans is installed in your system.
Make ensure the giftrans package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep giftrans *
You will get with giftrans package name, version, architecture and description in a table
